Through a unique partnership between the Ocean State Policy Research Institute, WPRO 630AM & 99.7FM talkradio, and Jim Hummel, the Hummel Report was created.

The Hummel Report is a unique Web site that provides a daily news feeds called the Rhode Island Round-Up, access to public documents and information through OSPRI’s Transparency Train, and exclusive videos featuring Jim Hummel as he exposes government waste and corruption.

The Hummel Report includes:

1. The Rhode Island Round-Up provides all the news in Rhode Island at one single location.  Newspapers, Television, Radio and the Blogosphere headlines are updated every morning and throughout the day. 

2. The Transparency Train provides online access to budgets, payrolls, employee contracts, and even the check register for each city, town and school district in Rhode Island. Access to state government data is also available. Other stops for the Train provide access to information from out General Assembly such as descriptions of legislation and a database of voting records. From public school test scores to judicial decision, just about anything about Rhode Island can be found by taking a ride on the Transparency Train.

3. Exclusive videos exposing government waste and corruption provided by 27-year veteran investigative reporter, Jim Hummel. Every week, Jim will release a new video posted online in the same hard-hitting style that won him an Edward R. Murrow Award for Investigative Journalism.
