The Thursday Meeting.

Once a month (twice a month during the legislative session) several "center-right" oriented groups get together and discuss what's happening in Rhode Island. Our meeting is modeled on the Washington DC Wednesday Meeting. Attendees of the RI meeting are eligible to attend the DC meeting.

We share strategy, we give alerts on dangerous legislation, we coordinate resources to help each other, and we brain storm ideas for future battles.

The meetings are on the second Thursday each month (2nd and 4th during the session) from 10:00 am to 11:30. Each group is given a few mintues and 1-2 main speakers are given a little more time. Attendance is by invitation only and we have 4 rules.

1. Everything is off the record unless the presenter states otherwise.

2. We share, we don't challenge. We often get groups with differing views but my 80% friend is not my 20% enemy. So if you don't like what someone has to say, keep it to yourself.

3. If you can't say it in 5 minutes bring a hand-out.

4. We don't need people telling us how great school choice is, we know that. We need information we can take action on.
